Amputee Rehabilitation Program

We help patients and their families cope physically and psychologically with the loss of a limb due to trauma or surgery or a congenital limb deficiency. Our program offers the clinical, technical and professional resources to provide an individualized treatment plan. Our team works to restore mobility and confidence to those who have experienced the loss of a limb.

  • Interdisciplinary approach to help patients regain the highest possible level of independence
  • Close communication and follow-through with the referring vascular surgeon.
  • Psychological and emotional support counseling

Patients can be admitted from a medical/surgical hospital or from home.

Stroke Rehabilitation Program

The Stroke Rehabilitation Program at Reliant Rehabilitation Hospital maximizes a patient's outcome by providing specialized medical management, therapy and nursing services in a hospital specifically design for rehabilitation. Intensive rehabilitation immediately following the stroke represents the patient's best chance for maximum recovery. Multiple Sclerosis Rehabilitation Program

Reliant Rehabilitation Hospital's Multiple Sclerosis Rehabilitation Program to the treatment and management of patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Rehabilitation's goal is to restore lost function. This usually involves strengthening and retraining muscles as well as adapting to decreased function with new techniques. Rehabilitation is especially useful immediately after recovery from an exacerbation or acute attack of MS symptoms. Patients appropriate for inpatient treatment have usually experienced significant functional decline and may be admitted to this program following:

  • Functional decline despite intensive home or outpatient services.
  • An acute multiple sclerosis exacerbation-including a course of steroids if prescribed.
  • Treatment for an unrelated medical/surgical problem.
