Our Senior Management Team

Lori Brandes, Chief Executive Officer
Lori has 20 years experience in hospital operations particularly in the areas of quality improvement and health information management.  She has held management positions of the the health information management department in the rehabilitation and long-term acute care hospital settings.  Most recently, Lori spent 13 years with TMF Health Quality Institute, the Quality Improvement Organization for Texas assisting acute care hospitals with their quality improvement efforts and data reporting requirements related to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Joint Commission core measures.  At Reliant Central Texas, she serves as hospital Administrator with oversight of day-to-day operations of the hospital.

Lori is a graduate of Texas State University, San Marcos with a Bachelor of Science degree.  She is a Registered Health Information Administrator and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.  She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  

John Black, Chief Financial Officer
John has over 25 years in healthcare financial management in acute care, LTAC and currently, rehabilitation settings. He also has six years of entrepreneurial experience immediately prior to joining Reliant, operating and serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of his own company. He served as CFO of two Kindred Healthcare hospitals and was instrumental in significantly improving cash flow by implementing proper procedures in accounts receivable management. Prior to that, John served for eight years as CFO of a new and growing acute care hospital in the Woodlands, Texas where he assisted in the refinancing of the organization through the issuance of twenty-five million dollars of bonds. Later he participated in the sale of the hospital to the Memorial Healthcare System of Houston.

John is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor of Business Administration with an Accounting major from the University of Houston.

Loraine E. Ondrej, RN,  Chief Nursing Officer
Loraine has been a Registered Nurse for 32 years, working in both hospitals and community settings. Prior to joining Reliant, Loraine was the Chief Nursing Officer at St David’s Round Rock Medical Center.  She has experience in critical care, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and oncology. Loraine received her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and stays involved in nursing education in Central Texas.  It is Loraine’s goal to have an environment where patients want to come for their care, where physicians want their patients to come, and where nurses and other staff want to work.


Vince Martin, Chief Therapy Officer

Vince has 20 years of experience in acute and outpatient services as well as clinic development and management . Most recently he was a multi-clinic manager at Sante Rehabilitation Group. At Sante, he was primarily responsible for the opening, development, management and marketing of multiple Austin-area clinics in addition to his role as a treating clinician.

Vince is a 1988 graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Allied Health Sciences in Galveston, TX.

Perry Mouser, Director of Facilities Management
Perry has 6 years experience in healthcare facilities management. Perry gained his HVAC and electrical experience while working in his father's business. In addition, he has 14 years experience in product/production engineering and management, procurement and marketing of military semiconductors with Texas Instruments. Perry was a member of the HealthSouth Midland executive team where he was director of Plant Operations. His areas of responsibility include facilities management, procurement, environmental service and hospital Safety and Security Officer.

Ann Marie Johnson, RN, Director of Business Development
Ann Marie has 25 years experience in adult and pediatric emergency medicine, ambulatory surgery, LTAC and rehabilitation. The last 14 years have been spent in hospital business development in the Austin market. She has been very successful in new business, project development and partner recruiting for Reliant. 

Deborah McIntyre, RN, Director of Quality and Risk Management
Debbie has been a Registered Nurse for 38 years, graduating from CRSN Cornwall Ontario Canada.  Prior to joining the Reliant team, Debbie spent 22 years at a local acute care hospital gaining extensive experience in Post Surgery, Oncology and Orthopedics.  She was also heavily involved in education, performance improvement, patient safety and admissions of a rehab unit.  At Reliant, her areas of responsibility include quality/risk management, infection control and employee health.

Melanie Irwin, RN, Director of Case Management
Melanie has over 25 years experience in nursing, mostly in the acute care hospital setting.  The last 13 years were spent as a case manager, with a focus on orthopedic patients.  Melanie's area of responsibilities include utilization management and discharge planning.  Her goal is to help Reliant patients get back home and function safely and independently.
